I have been capturing self-portraits as a means of documenting my experiences living with chronic pain and illness. These images represent a snapshot from a six-month period within my ongoing journey spanning over a decade. While I may delve into writing about these portraits more profoundly in the future, my intention at this moment is to simply share them, providing a visual representation of the reality of chronic pain and its impact on individuals.

Incorporating my own artwork, these self-portraits intertwine vibrant colors to purposefully juxtapose the otherwise mundane and colorless existence that accompanies life with chronic pain. By infusing vivid hues into my portraits, I aim to symbolize the stark contrast between the vividness of my inner world and the often monotonous and dulled external experience dictated by chronic pain.
